We believe in recognizing excellence and celebrating the remarkable contributions made by individuals. The deserving winners are unveiled each year at the SHRM AZ State Conference.
| Dr. Rosalie Lopez Emerging Professional Award Purpose: To recognize emerging leaders who have made impactful contributions to the HR industry at an early stage in their careers. A professional who has shown exceptional promise and dedication, shaping the future of HR with their innovative ideas and accomplishments. This award is a tribute to the esteemed Dr. Rosalie Lopez, who spent years devotedly guiding students and emerging professionals towards a path of success. Qualifications: • Have 5 Years or Less of professional experience in their field • Must have the highest standard of personal integrity and character • Do something exceptional outside of their normal scope of work which grants them distinction • Must be Committed to the Human Resources Industry • Must conduct activities that impact the HR profession in areas such as DEIA, Community Impact, Advocacy, Leadership, Mentoring, Learning and Development, Technology, and/or People and Culture
| Judith Ann Krebs Volunteer Award
Purpose: To recognize contributions of members who volunteer their services and go beyond the norm. SHRM AZ wishes to recognize the contributions of our members who volunteer their services in the advancement of the Human Resource Management profession in Arizona going over and beyond the norm, by giving an award in memory of Judith Ann Krebs, PHR.
Qualifications:
• Be A Member of National or a SHRM AZ chapter • Adhere to the SHRM Code of Ethics • Have Chaired a Committee or Led A Project Within SHRM, Which Displays Leadership Qualities • Have An Outstanding Record of Contribution in HR And Other Volunteer Causes to Help Improve Our Community • Served A Minimum Of 6 Continuous Months Per Year for The Past 3 Years Doing Volunteer Work or Serving On At Least One HR Board
| Ann Byrnes Award for Professional Excellence Purpose: To recognize HR professionals serving as role models and setting standards. SHRM AZ recognizes professional excellence in the Human Resource Management profession. Award nominees are individuals who have taken the initiative to grow within their profession serving as role models and setting standards for others.
Qualifications: • Must Be a Member of National or a SHRM AZ chapter • Adheres To the SHRM Code of Ethics • Has An Outstanding Record of Contributions to The HR Profession • Has Led At Least One Successful Project During the Year That Significantly Impacted the HR Community
| Al O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award Purpose: To recognize an HR professional or business leader who has distinguished her/himself throughout their career through volunteer leadership, supporting HR related initiatives and making significant contributions to promote and support HR professionals. In the spirit of this award’s namesake, the Al O’Connor Lifetime Achievement Award is offered to an HR professional or business leader who has distinguished her/himself throughout their career through publications, instruction, career achievement, and education/certifications. An HR professional or business leader who demonstrated years of public support of the profession through volunteer leadership through various appropriate boards or programs/projects, holding public office and/or supported HR related initiatives, and significant contributions made to promote/support the HR professional/leader.
Qualifications: • Have Written Publications • Have Instructed HR Courses • Have A Proven Corporate or Business Achievement • Have Received HR-Related Education or Certifications • Volunteered In a Leadership Capacity Through Various Appropriate Boards • Shown Leadership Through Various Programs or Projects • Have Made Significant Contribution to Promote And/or Support The HR Discipline
