DAVID T. BARTON is a partner in the Phoenix office of Quarles & Brady LLP.  Mr. Barton has focused his practice on employment law with special emphasis on wage and hour, sexual harassment, age and disability discrimination, drug testing, and health-care issues.  In addition to his work in defending employers from wrongful termination and discrimination claims, Mr. Barton provides advice and counseling to employers concerning executive compensation and termination, employee counseling and motivation and the creation and review of employee handbooks, contracts and policy manuals.   Mr. Barton received his Juris Doctorate degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the J. Reuben Clark Law School of Brigham Young University in 1992 where he was articles editor of the Brigham Young University Law Review. He received his bachelors degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University in 1988 graduating as college valedictorian.

Rick has also worked at Bechtel International and Bank of America.  His twenty-five plus years of executive human resources management experience in a variety of industries offers clients a wealth of expertise. He has a BS from Willamette University, Salem, OR and an MS from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA.  Rick also holds the highest Human Resources professional designation by his being awarded an SPHR from the Society of HR Management.

Joellyn Pollock, currently at SCF Arizona, was the Director of Arizona Government University for almost 5 years. Her goal was for Arizona Government University to be strategic partners with the agencies so they fulfill their goals in employee development, customer satisfaction and improved performance.  During her time at Arizona Government University, Joellyn created a three-tiered leadership development plan for leaders at all levels in the state agencies.  The most basic level became the mandated leadership training for all supervisors within state government.  Joellyn has extensive experience in many work environments that include education, manufacturing, financial services, retail, health care, government and now insurance industry. Her expertise includes providing organizational effectiveness and leadership solutions, facilitating strategic planning, and developing employees, leaders and teams resulting in overall improved performance.
