Session Description - High Definition People! ™

Alleviate Apprehension, Ignite Passion and Experience Life and Work in Vivid Color!, Barbara Sanfilippo and Bob Romano

Imagine your workplace filled with enthusiastic, dedicated workers driven to perform their job well and be accountable for results.  They don’t allow the economy to consume them with fear and anxiety.  Attitudes of entitlement and “excusitis” are on the decline and personal responsibility is on the rise.  They’re eager to serve because they see a way to achieve their personal ambitions.

There have always been stellar performers and those who do just enough to get by.  Add our highly turbulent and uncertain times to the equation and many are feeling a growing lack of control in their lives that is distracting them from fully contributing and reaching their true potential.  Rather than another excellence program with stuffy, corporate mumbo jumbo, people want to be inspired with practical and fun ideas that compel them to make a significant contribution to their employer’s success.

In this idea-packed, entertaining and interactive performance, this dynamic husband and wife duo will give you clarity on what it takes to Be Vivid!  Be Vibrant!  Be Valued!  ™ and ignite the spirit of service and passion in yourself and all those you touch.  You’ll leave energized and ready to experience life and work in high definition!

Speaker Bio - Barbara Sanfilippo, CSP, CPAE and Bob Romano are marriage and business partners.  They formed their company, High Definition People™, to inspire people to Be Vivid!  Be Vibrant!  Be Valued™ in their work and personal life.  Described as authentic, compelling and playfully provocative; these successful business consultants turned performers will delight you, challenge you and inspire you and your staff to become High Definition People™.  Barb is also the author of, Dream Big!  What’s the Best That Can Happen?

3:30 – 4:30 - General Session – Greater Than Yourself, Steve Farber

Session Description - By now, most business leaders have learned that their job is to expand and develop their own capacity, while simultaneously preparing the next generation of leaders to take the reins. Develop talent, they've been taught.  Be a coach. A mentor.  But it doesn't happen all that often. At least, not in any significant way.  Maybe we've just been expecting too much. Steve Farber believes that we've actually been expecting too little. It's time, he says, to set a new gold standard for what it means to be a leader of substance and influence: The true measure of your greatness as a leader is to develop leaders who are greater than you.

In this workshop -based on his new book, Greater Than Yourself -he shows that dedicating yourself to bringing others along so that they can achieve more than you is the ultimate way to boost talent, ramp productivity and create truly significant current and future leaders.

With this powerful, three-step approach, Steve Farber reveals how your organization or team can achieve explosive results by encouraging every leader and employee to take on a Greater Than Yourself relationship for unprecedented personal growth and productivity:
*   Expand Yourself - you'll discover tools to deepen and expand your personal capabilities - the raw material for true leadership.

*   Give Yourself - you'll learn the art of 'philanthropizing' your leadership approach - the raw material for developing capacity in others.

*   Replicate Yourself - you'll experience the power of expanding beyond your personal, one-to-one influence - the raw material for changing your organization for the better.

Speaker Bio - Steve Farber is the president of Extreme Leadership, Incorporated—an organization devoted to the cultivation and development of Extreme Leaders in the business community.  His best-selling book, The Radical Leap: A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership was recently named one of The 100 Best Business Books of All Time.  His newest book, Greater Than Yourself: The Ultimate Lesson of True Leadership has just been published by Doubleday/Random House. A subject-matter expert in business leadership and a frequent guest on news-talk shows around the country, Steve is a senior-level leadership coach and consultant who speaks 90 to 100 times a year to a wide variety of public and private organizations in virtually every arena, from the tech sector to financial services, manufacturing, health care, hospitality, entertainment, retail, and the US government. In 1989, after having run his own financial services company, Steve devoted his professional life to the field of leadership development and has been at it ever since.  He was director  of service programs at TMI, an international training consultancy, and then worked for 6 years as Vice President and Official Mouthpiece (that’s what it  said on his business card) of The Tom Peters Company where he met several of his mentors including author/gurus Tom Peters, Jim Kouzes and Terry Pearce.  In 2000, Steve established his own company, Extreme Leadership, Inc. where he is president and CEO.  Steve is also the co-founding director of The Center for Social Profit Leadership (part of the Legacy XXI Institute), a non-profit  organization formed to serve the leadership development needs of social entrepreneurs, and he sits on the Board of Directors of the world-renown program, Up With People, a global leadership program for students from 18 to 29 years old. Coaching and inspiring Extreme Leadership at all organizational levels is Steve’s passion, and he does so with a style that is  part strategist, part social commentator, part comedian, and all energy.
