Ann Byrnes, SPHR Memorial Award for Professional Excellence

Purpose: To recognize HR professionals serving as role models and setting standards.

Judith Krebs, PHR Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award

Purpose: To recognize contributions of members who volunteer their services and go beyond the norm.

SHRM-Sponsored Scholarships & AwardsTake note of these important, fast approaching deadlines:

Chapter Merit Award Student Chapters

Purpose: Recognizes student chapters of SHRM for there exceptional ability in operations, the professional development of chapter members, promotion of the profession and support of SHRM. For more information go to www.shrm.org/awards. Deadline: March 31st


Honor/Superior Honor State Council

Purpose: This award is made to State Councils which have achieved excellence in achieving their missions. For more information go to www.shrm.org/awards. Deadline: March 31st

Regional Scholarship Program

Purpose: To reward national SHRM members pursuing a college degree or professional certification. For more information go to www.shrm.org/awards. Deadline: July 15th

Sons and Daughters Scholarship Programs

Purpose: To assist in financing higher education for the children of SHRM national members. Awards are in the amount of $1500. For more information go to www.shrm.org/awards. Deadline: May 15th

SHRM Pinnacle Awards

Purpose: Honors the highest achievements in chapter development and contributions that enhance the development of effective human resource management. Nomination forms are sent via US Mail to each chapter president at the end of July. The award form will also be posted online at www.shrm.org/chapters/resources. Deadline: October 1st

SHRM Foundation Scholarships

Purpose: Awards one scholarship in the amount of $5000 to a graduate student and two scholarships in the amount of $2500 to undergraduate students studying human resources. For more information go to www.shrm.org/awards. Deadline: October 15th
